The 100th Monkey Studio Fine Arts Camp Program – Day Camps
Ages: 6 – 14 yrs
Focus: Art
Description: Our Summer Art Camps are about empowering youth to explore a variety of expressive art forms from writing, visual arts & crafts, art history, movement, music and more! Our mission is to expose and guide youth through new fine arts and crafts techniques. We encourage youth to find their own voice through the process of making art. The studio provides a safe and creative space for young artists to have fun, develop new friendships and gain self-confidence while taking safe and healthy risks!
We pride ourselves on smaller class sizes of 5-18 students and a 3:1 student to teacher ratio. This allows students room to spread out and explore independently as well as work in small groups and receive lots of 1:1 support and individual art instruction. We have a large dedicated staff made up of educators, administrators, interns and volunteers. All of our educators are deeply involved in the arts community here in Portland, and truly care about making a difference in people’s lives. Each of our camps finish with a Friday showcase to highlight what they have done during their time at The 100th Monkey Studio. Showcases may involve a fashion show, theatre production or gallery opening. Each showcase is uniquely created by the group of artists from each camp and family and friends are encouraged to attend.

I am an explorer at heart - getting out and experiencing all that life has to offer is what I do best. Before I had a family, I traveled, played and explored -- now that I have a family I enjoy doing those things with them. I'm happy to live in a place that let's us do just that.
