Happy St. Patrick’s Day! While it might not seem like the most family-friendly of holidays, there are plenty of fun holiday events happening this weekend — in addition to the opening of the NW Children’s Theater’s production of Busytown, the opening of OMSI’s new LEGO-focused exhibit The Art of the Brick, and more! ALL WEEKEND

The Art of the Brick OPENS. OMSI’s latest exhibit, The Art of the Brick, runs March 17 through April 29, displaying sculptor Nathan Sawaya’s amazing LEGO creations. Visitors can try a variety of hands-on LEGO activities, demonstrations and challenges. 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, Tues through Sun. $12 adults, $9 ages 3 to 13. Busytown OPENS. Northwest Children’s Theater presents an adaptation of the Richard Scarry book What do People Do All Day. The jaunty musical tours the Busytown neighborhood and visits the farmer, doctor, grocer and more. Best for ages 4 and older. Runs March 17 through April 1.
