W.O.W.! (What’s On for the Weekend) Aug. 15 and 16

What? It’s mid-August already? Didn’t the kids just get out of school??
Tempus fugit. It happens… We can bemoan our youth (middle age?) hurtling by – or we can go out and have fun. We’ll opt for the latter.

Big Truck Day

Mt. Hood Jazz Run
. This event features a Kids’ Fun Zone (opens at 9 am) with activities by OMSI, the Oregon Zoo, Portland Children’s Museum, bouncy houses, face painting and more. The Kids’ Fun Zone is free (except for the bounce house; $1 per bounce) and open to the public; each child participating in the Jazz Run receives a free bounce, JaCiva’s cookie and goody bag! 5K run/walk starts at 8 am. 1K and 2K kids run starts at 9 am. $20 for 5K race, $12 for 1 and 2K races (includes cotton t-shirt); additional charge for tech t-shirt and late registration.
