W.O.W.! (What’s On for the Weekend) July 4 and 5

Life, liberty and the pursuit of … fireworks? It’s Independence Day Weekend – time to ponder our nation’s birth, and celebrate with barbecues, picnics – and pyrotechnic displays. Metro Parent HIGHLY recommends that you forego the personal fireworks exhibitions (click here for more information on fireworks injuries and how to avoid them) and, instead, opt to ooh and aah at one of the area’s public displays (we have a slew of possibilities, despite the fact that The Big One – Ft. Vancouver – is on hiatus this year). Check our online calendar for more ideas. Most of all: Be safe! Enjoy!
