FREE health insurance!

Got your attention? If you have a kindergartener through sixth grader attending a public school in Multnomah County, your child may be eligible for free health insurance from Kaiser Permanente.
Kaiser, in partnership with the Multnomah Education Service District (MESD), is offering the no-premium insurance (you’ll have a small co-pay for office visits and prescriptions) to children in families with incomes of 250 percent or less of the federal poverty level. That works out to about $53,000 annually for a family of four. Once enrolled, children are covered through age 19 if they remain in school. Coverage also extends to eligible siblings, ages 3 through 12th grade. About 4,700 children are already covered under this program; Kaiser and MESD want to double enrollment by the end of the year.
For more information, call MESD at 503-257-1732 and ask to speak to someone about Child Health Insurance. Visit www.mesd.k12.or.us/shs/child_health for more information.
